10 Core Concepts
- Integrity: When I do the RIGHT THING and make right choices even when no one is watching.
- Responsibility: I am aware of and follow through with my obligations to do what I need to be doing, not necessarily what I want to be doing.
- Spirituality: Partnering with Something or Someone outside of myself as a source of strength, comfort and hope.
- Gratitude: I express appreciation for what I have in all of my experiences, both negative and positive.
- Truth: I can accept what I can't change and change what is possible. I can acknowledge what is true in my life.
- Wisdom: I am learning to not make the same mistakes twice and acknowledging the patterns of my part in these mistakes.
- Honor: I am honoring the land, my ancestors and my own past...even my childhood. I am honoring my parents, with all of their flaws, realizing that we all are doing the best we can with what we have at the moment.
- Love: I realize what real love is and what is not; I am finding self-respect and self-awareness that shows me how to truly love myself and others.
- Empathy: I can imagine how others may think or feel in any given situation.
- Communication: I am able to relay my feelings and needs to others honestly, and in return I genuinely listen to what they are saying to me.
A Note From Our CEO
Active Recovery is an Intensive Outpatient drug and alcohol treatment program that focuses on changing the mindset and outlook of our clients; "Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life" comes from Gratitude Journaling, positive Spiritual growth and much encouragement from our staff.
We are not a 12-Step program, we focus instead on shifting our mindset using the Ten Core Concepts; Empathy, Spirituality, Commitment, Integrity, Communication, Respect, Honesty, Gratitude, Responsibility and Initiative.
With three locations to serve our clients, and up to 3 Phases of treatment lasting up to a year if needed, our goal is long-term recovery with a non-judgmental and refreshing perspective on how addiction is treated.
We do encourage getting away from the "lifetime of Buprenorphine mindset" that Subutex/Suboxone seems to give, using medical detox and Vivitrol, or Sublocade injections. Vivitrol is for alcohol and opiate cravings, but Sublocade injections have shown to be effective in just 3 months to be free from Subutex forever!
